Children coming from fatherless homes account for:
71% of all high school dropouts
75% of adolescent patients in chemical abuse centers
85% of all youths in prison
90% of all homeless and runaway children. (2)
63% of children from fatherless homes exhibited some sort of psychological problem (anxiety, depression, moodiness).
56% experienced poor grades or substantially below their ability and/or recent performance. (3)
"Three out of four teenage suicides occur where a parent is absent." (4)
"Girls are 53% more likely to marry as teenagers, 164% more likely to have premarital birth, and 92% more likely to dissolve their own marriage." (3)
Overall, approximately 50% of mothers "see no value in the fathers continued contact with his children..." (5)
