Larry Crawford
My name is Larry Crawford, and I am a single
father.  I am 39 and the father of two children- my
daughter Madelyn is 10 and my son Lucas is 6.  I
became a single parent as the result of a divorce.  I come
from a broken background- my father was an alcoholic, and
very detached from our family.  While my kids are the love of my life,
they didn't always get the best from me.  For the first few years of their
lives I struggled with anger, selfishness, and impatience- these are not
good qualities for parents of children.  Through the storm of the divorce I
heard God's voice calling me back to Him.  He has been my all through this
time.  I have realized that He is enough to meet our needs in any and all of life's moments.

One of the areas that He has brought me to was my involvement with "A Father's Walk".  Since I started my time in this group I have seen amazing growth in my walk with Christ.  I have formed bonds with the men in this group that I have never had before, and have seen the grace and mercy of our Lord displayed in so many ways.  This time in my life isn't perfect, but Jesus is- and if we cling to Him always He will guide us through.

   "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord.  Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.  Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13
