A single dad since January 2007, I have grown
more in my faith in the time since I have been
divorced than in my previous 37 years on earth. I was
empty and lost, trying to get my needs met in ways that were
not honoring to God. Because of His grace I am no longer empty
and my life has additional meaning & purpose. I have also met
some men that because of our difficult pasts, we have connected,
friendships have been born, grown and blossomed into something very
special. I recognize this would not have been possible had I not
surrendered and let God have total control. I know He has a work to continue
to do in me and I look forward to becoming the man He has called me to be.

God has blessed me far more than I ever imagined and I attribute that in part to me coming to the end of myself, joining a A Father's Walk has also been a part of that as well as the catalyst for continued growth. I am excited to see what God has in store for me and this group in the future. One of my favorite verses has become Psalm 46:10 where it says "Be Still & know that I am God" I never took time to just "Be Still" with God, yet I have found such peace, peace I never experienced before, in doing just that-nothing, but being alone with God. For Him to use someone as broken as me is truly humbling, I have been able to share my story and identify with other single men in this "wilderness time"and it is simply amazing to see God's hand in those situations. For myself & the other men to experience forgiveness, atonement & redemption is more than words can express - His grace truly covers all our sins!

The guys from A Father's Walk have become not only good friends, but true brother's in Christ. It is so comforting to know other guys are going through similar things and we can talk, laugh, cry & pray with one another and we truly understand each other's pain in ways others cannot. As we embark on this new chapter in our lives, I speak firsthand of God's grace daily to meet the challenges and opportunities of being single parents. I have worked in sales since 1992 and for the past 5 years selling physician billing software & services. My greatest joy in life next to my relationship with my Heavenly Father are my 3 boys - I am a dad to Ben - 10, Sam - 6, & Jack - 3 1/2.
